It was indeed a gathering of who is who in Oguta/Egbema Local government areas this noon tide, as Hon. ThankGod Ezeani humbly paid a courtsey call to the squestered abode of Sntr. Arthur Nzeribe,  who had made a huge impact on the world of politics.

In his opening salvo, the political heavy weight, who has the faculty for inspiring confidence in people,  by degrees expressed a warmth welcome to the august political visitor who in his words has done noble  by taking cognisance of the very fact that there are old staggers in the game.

The political Icon was instantly closed- up with the tentacles of fond memories as he reminiscenced over those political good old days of representing the good people of Orlu zone extraction and was also dismayed as he took a dim view of the current political situation in Imo State.

Hear him..."The political arena in Imo State at large and Orlu Senatorial zone in particular is in disarray. And I think and hope, it's about time someone brought some sanity into it. And for that very person to succeed, he needs buckets of confidence and ideas. Goodly enough, Hon. ThankGod Ezeani strikes me as a man of ideas and gumption, with this his creditable can-do spirit. His political aspiration this time around has indeed gathered enough momentum and wide currency. He has being a leading exponent of the restoration of the lost dignity of Orlu zone. There is no gainsaying the apparent fact that he has reached the dizzy height in politics. He has paid the dues. Therefore, let us give him all the support we can muster to ensure this dream is actualized". Viva Hon. ThankGod Ezeani!!! May all the forerunners of politics in Orlu zone guide you".

He exhorted, as the hall which was bulging at the seems, roared in ovation.
Truly, his speech dispelled any fears about his rumoured far-gone ill health, anyway.

Addressing the reputable Leaders of Oguta and Egbema, Hon. ThankGod Ezeani whole heartedly appreciated them for rolling out their welcome mat for him.

He expressed with all sense of vehemence that as far as he is concerned, the lost dignity of Orlu zone must be restored, as nothing weakens his resolve to make that fact a reality!

He extolled the good people of Oguta and Egbema to be part and parcel of that very crusade that shall usher in lots and lots of dividends of democracy to the zone.

Speaking at the occasion, Chief John Okoro used the medium to thank Hon. Ezeani for all the meaningful developments he has brought to the good people of Oguta and Egbema respectively.

According to Chief Okoro, there is every well- founded evidence to support Hon. ThankGod Ezeani in his vision and mission to restore the lost glory of Orlu zone.

Chief Okoro, unbehalf of Oguta and Egbema people, pledged an unalloyed support.

In a vote of thanks, Bar. Calistus Ihejiagwa(Okwesilieze II), foremostly appreciated the reputable Leaders of Oguta and Egbema respectively, for  their winsome manner of always being there whenever Hon. Ezeani calls.

He cast some light on what Hon. Ezeani had said earlier by adding that this 2019 Orlu Senatorial seat, there is no escaping the fact that it is time for the restoration of our lost dignity!

He entreated the good Leaders of Oguta and Egbema to ensure that all and sundry, fan the flame of this restoration fire!

IMSU Latest: Management Goes Tough On Indecent Dressing.

Imsu Elijah

The fight against all kinds of indecent dressing by the management of Imo State University, has taken its full course on campus with the warning that improperly dressed students will henceforth not allowed into the campus, the wireless informant has reliably gathered.

All personnel of the school security at the main Gate, Extension and Back gate have stepped-up their operations by monitoring students closely even to the extent of going to classes to check if there is any student who is dressed against the rule of the school and has succeeded in sneaking into the lecture halls.

It was observed by the wireless team that the school management has considered indecent dressing as a capital offense in the campus and has decided to go tough on students putting on crazy jeans, crazy hairstyles, and those who put on slippers to campus.

Hence, students who are caught ‎in the act have their crazy and seductive wears torn into pieces and after wards prevented from entering the campus.

The school deputy Vice-Chancellor Academics, Prof. Nkwam Uwaoma have taken the lead as he was spotted recently enforcing the regulation at different points, from the school Front gate to the Extension, this explains the seriousness and urgency of the matter.

While some students argue that the steps taken by the management is the best, some also believe that the management should have at least given an orientation to students before they begin implementation.

A Student leader and SUG director of Transport Mr. Promise Uzoma of the department of Optometry who was on ground during one of the enforcement outings at the Extension Gate appreciated the effort of the management in maintaining a ‘Decent IMSU’.
