JAMB Registration Procedures 2018/2019 Starting and Closing Dates Announced | How To Register

JAMB registration form for 2018/2019 is out on sale. The JAMB UTME CBT and Direct Entry (DE) details and general information are now available online at jamb.org.ng. Sales of form now has started and closing date has been announced.

JAMB has begun sale of its 2018 UTME&DE Application Documents in Nigeria and Foreign Centres.
The period of sale /registration for all candidates is from 6th December 2017 to 6th February, 2018.

Some important information on the 2018 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) as released by the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) are as follows:

  • JAMB to start the sale of 2018 UTME forms on 6th December 2017.
  • 2018 JAMB Mock Examination proposed date: 22nd January to 24th January, 2018 (only candidates, who register by 31st December, 2017 and who have expressed interest for the examination would be eligible for the optional mock examination).
  • 2018 JAMB UTME Form/Registration proposed closing date:  6th February, 2018
  • JAMB have banned the use of wristwatches and pens by candidates and other persons in the examination hall.
  • The price of the 2018 UTME Registration Form will be N5000 (inclusive of the N300 commission paid on each application to selling points) as it was for 2017.
  • Foreign based candidates would pay the sum of $20 dollars per candidate as against $100 and $150 dollars paid in 2017 for candidates in Africa and outside Africa, respectively.

Below are tips which can help you in the writing of any application letter.
 Follow these strategies to write a successful job application letter: 
  • Get off to a direct start:
 In your first paragraph, explain simply why you are writing. Mention the job title and company name, and also where you came across the job listing. While you can also briefly mention why you are a strong candidate, this section should be short and to-the-point. 
  • Offer something different than what's in your resume:
 It's rare to send an application letter without also sending a resume. Your application letter, therefore, doesn't have to duplicate your resume. Your language can be a bit more personal than in resume bullet points — you can tell a narrative about your work experience and career. 
  • Make a good case. 
Your first goal with this letter is to move on to the next step: an interview. Your overarching goal, of course, is to get a job offer. Use your application letter to further both of these causes. Offer details about your experience and background that show why you are a good candidate. How have other jobs prepared you for the position? What would you bring to the position, and to the company?  Use this space to emphasize your strengths
  • Close with all the important details.
 Include a thank you at the end of your letter. You can also share your contact information. If you'd like, mention how you will follow up.

FUTO Pre-Degree  Registration Procedure 2017/2018 Announced | How to Verify Account.

The management of the Federal University of Technology  Owerri, (FUTO) has announced the registration procedure for the 2017/2018 Pre-Degree Students. All concerned pre-degree students of this instituttion are hereby informed of this procedure to take note of these registration details as stated below;
                                                                                                                                                                                                

How to Verify your FUTO Pre-Degree Students account

  • Visit the University website “http://www.futo.edu.ng/
  • Click on the link “Portal
  • Click on “Pre-degree and then “Confirm Admission Status”
  • Enter your Application number.
  • Click on submit button to confirm your admission status
  • Enter your “email address” and click on “Update”
  • Get the Account Notification slip bearing your login details with your Application Number as the default username and Password.

How to change password and print your student profile information page

How to change password

  • Enter your username and password and click on the Login
  • Click on change password to change your password.
  • Enter the default password and the new password, confirm the new password.
  • Click change password

How to print FUTO Pre-Degree Student Profile Information

  • Click the profile details menu
  • Confirm and Print the Student profile information page

How to Pay FUTO Pre-Degree Acceptance Fee

  • Click on the link “Acceptance”enter your email address and then submit to generate your payment invoice.
  • Print your payment invoice containing the RRR code and proceed to any bank for payment.
  • Alternatively, you can make payment using the online payment options with credit/debit cards such as Verve, Visa, MasterCards.
    • Note: You must ensure a payment invoice is generated on the portal for the online payment option.
  • After successful payment in a bank, return to the portal and log in with your account details to print FUTO your Acceptance receipt.

How to Pay FUTO Pre-Degree School Fees

  • Login to the portal with your username and password
  • Click on “School Fees”, then submit to generate your payment invoice
  • Print your payment invoice containing the RRR code and proceed to any bank for payment.
  • Alternatively, you can make payment using the online payment options with credit/debit cards such as Verve, Visa, MasterCards.
Note: You must ensure a payment invoice is generated on the portal for the online payment option.
  • After successful payment in bank, return to the portal and log in with your account details to print FUTO pre-degree fee e-receipt
  • Print your Pre-Degree Registration number

How FUTO Pre-Degree students can apply for Hostel

  • In your students portal, Click the Hostel menu, click on Generate to select Hostel Type
  • Select the desired hostel and click the submit button to generate your payment invoice
  • Print your payment invoice and proceed to FUTO MICRO FINANCE bank for payment.
  • After successful payment in a bank, return to the portal, log in and print FUTO Hostel allocation e-receipt.
  • Finally SIGNOUT

UI Comprehensive Admission List 2017/2018 | Notice To Students

This is to inform all candidates who have been offered provisional admission in the 2017/2018 UTME / Direct Entry admission exercise that the admission list is now available on the admission portal of the candidates on www.admissions.ui.edu.ng

Candidates who have accepted / printed their letters of admission are advised to pay a non-refundable acceptance fee of Thirty-Five Thousand Naira only (N35, 000.00) using the approved payment mode.
The payment portal will open from Tuesday, 13 February 2018 to 6 March 2018.
Candidates whose admission has been approved, but yet to be accepted are advised to proceed to Jamb Portal to accept the offer on CAPS. They cannot pay the acceptance fee until they have accepted and printed their admission letters.

Job Title: Registrar
Job Description
  • The Registrar shall be the Chief Administrative Officer of the University and shall be responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for the day-to-day administrative work of the University except as regards matters for which the Bursar is responsible in accordance with the University Law.
  • The person holding the office of Registrar shall by virtue of that office be a Principal Officer, Secretary to Council, the Senate, congregation and Convocation.
  • He/she must be versed in University administration with ability to provide strategic template and a team player.
  • The candidate shall subscribe to and be a believer in the vision, mission and core values of the University and will work for the realization of its objectives.
  • He/she shall possess such cardinal virtues including (but not limited to) intellectual competence, exemplary God fearing life pattern and comportment worthy of emulation by staff and students.
Qualifications
  • Candidates must possess a good honours degree (minimum of Second Class Lower) from any University recognized by the University Senate with at least 15 years cognate experience.
  • In addition, applicants must possess a higher degree and must be lT savvy.
  • Membership of relevant and recognised professional bodies is mandatory.
  • Applicants must be at least a Deputy Registrar in a tertiary institution and should not be older than 55 years at the time of appointment.
Specifically, the candidate shall be expected to be a person with:
  • Outstanding leadership qualities who can inspire and motivate subordinates to achieve corporate goals.
  • God-fearing, high integrity and moral standard. Someone who appreciates and acts on merit.

Terms and Conditions of Service
The appointment shall be for a single term of five years. Redeemer’s University offers an enhanced remuneration package applicable to the posts of Registrar in Nigerian Federal Universities.
